Slash Dot Dash Podcast 012: Resoe

Resoe is a Danish DJ, Producer and label owner with over 25 years of experience in the business. As a producer he's a part of one of Dub Techno's most influential labels, Echocord, and with Kenneth Christiansen they make up the production duo, Pattern Repeat.

His own label, Baum Records, has just been relaunched with a release from the Finish dub techno artist, Leftover which features a remix from Resoe himself, so to help celebrate the long awaited relaunch, we invited Resoe to provide the next instalment of our podcast series.

Mikkel Metal / Resoe - The Copenhagen Split EP [Echocord Colour 15]

New release time for one of our favourite Dub Techno labels, Echocord Colour. Now on to their 15th release after previous works from Sebastian San, Mike Dehnert, Luke Hess, Brendon Moeller, Kenneth Christiansen with Resoe as Pattern Repeat, and featured remixes from Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock and Robag Wruhme.

Release 15 combines two of the labels mainstays Mikkel Metal and Resoe on the aptly title 'Copenhagen EP'. Resoe's 'Redlightsareflashin' is more dancefloor orientated than his recent Album. Mikkel Metal's 'Fubre' is more peak time but still retains his usual deep dub style.

The EP is expected to drop at the end of this month / start of June. As ever will be available in all the usual spots. More info on Mikkel Metal can be found on his Facebook Fan Page and for Resoe, check out his Website

Mix Of The Day: Resoe - The Black Void Of Space Podcast 009

Resoe, owner of Baum Records and one have of Pattern Repeat, has been a busy man of late. His debut album 'The Black Void of Space' has just dropped on Echocord Records last month. I picked it up the other week and it's tremendous. Also the first EP, 'The Black Void Of Space' featuring a tremendous remix by Sigha, got released in December and amongst all that he still had time to record the 9th episode of his Podcast Series, 'The Black Void Of Space Podcast'. (Do you sense a theme here?)

The podcast is more of the same quality dub techno that you would of experienced from the album and his recent releases on Echocord and his own Baum Records label. You can stream or download it from the Soundcloud app below, or if you'd rather subscribe to the series in iTunes then just do a search for it. All other 8 episodes are just as good!
