P/C/M: London, Grounded Theory: Berlin & The Sound Of Berghain: Copenhagen

After our mammoth roundup post last week, we're keeping it shorter this week, but the three parties we have to tell you about, make it just as strong.

London

When London party throwers, Plex, Colony and Machine put on events on their own, they always turn out pretty special, but when they combine at Corsica Studios, it ends up being one of the best events on the clubbing calendar.

The first P/C/M, which took place in October last year, brought together the likes of Surgeon, Perc, Andy Stott, Adam X, Ancient Methods, TVO, Peverelist and plenty more.

As with last year there's a few birthdays to be celebrated. Plex are turning six and Colony are reaching four. Plex take care of room one. Ancient Methods return, Regis puts in a live set, and the two combine for the UK debut performance of Ugandan Methods. Joining them is Surface Records' 65D Mavericks, Ø [Phase], Simon Heartfield with a live A/V show and the Plex residents.

Colony host live sets from Livity Sound, Senking and DJ sets from Millie, Tengui and MB & CB. Machine feature Untold, A Made Up Sound, Ben Sims and Paul Mac as Fokus Group and Kirk Degiorgio.

There's a few tickets left on Resident Advisor, but don't hang about because they won't be available for long.

Berlin

Our favourite Berlin promoters, Grounded Theory, move to a new venue, Stattbad, for their 18th party and they've put together an epic UK trio in the shape of Surgeon, Tommy Four Seven and Sigha. The Berlin contingent is fulfilled by Sven VT and GT boss, Henning Baer.

As is the Berlin norm, there are no tickets, so make sure you get there early to avoid disappointment. Full info can be found on the Facebook Event Page.

Copenhagen

No clubbing roundup would be complete without a stop of at Copenhagen's Culture Box. On Saturday they continue their monthly homage to the sounds of Berghain and Panoramabar and this week it's the turn of Ben Klock to take control of the Black Box for an all night session.

Plex @ Corsica Studios (3rd Feb 12)

2011 was a hell of a year for Plex. Their three parties at Corsica Studios saw a whole host of names take the stage including Surgeon, Perc, Ancient Methods, Delta Funktionen, Morphosis, Sigha and more. 2012 looks like it's going to be more of the same...

For the first party, the line up is stella as always. Headlined by Antony 'Shake' Shakir with support from a Mystery Guest, A Made Up Sound (aka 2562), Inigo Kennedy and a few others (check the flyer above) spread across the two rooms. Tickets are still available through Resident Advisor, although it sounds like there's not many left, so don't hang about. You can find the rest of the event info on RA too.

Plex / Colony / Machine @ Corsica Studios (28th Oct 11)

On Monday we brought you news of a huge line up taking place in Berlin on Friday. Today we switch our attentions back home and have what's probably the biggest techno line up of he year. This Friday London promotions Plex, Colony and Machine join forces for a humongous party at one of our favourite venues, Corsica Studios.

From somewhere, the South London club have magic'd a third room, and it's wall to wall quality across all 3, starting with the main room and Plex celebrating their 5th birthday. Live sets are the order of the day and you can look forward to performances from some SDD favourites in the shape of Ancient Methods and Perc with live support from Neil Landstrumm and Matt Whitehead and DJ support from Dask, Luke Handsfree and James Tec.

Room 2 is Colony with the excellent Andy Stott live, Peverelist and The Village Orchestra (Live) and of course backed up by Colony's own MB & CB.

Finally Room 3 sees Machine complete the line up with a bit of help of UK techno pioneer, Surgeon, and NYC pioneer Adam X makes his first return to London since his UK debut appearance of Traversable Wormhole for us last year at the Hub Club. As if 2 techno legends for 1 room wasn't enough, they'll be supported by Machine mainstays, Ben Sims and Kirk Degiorgio. And all night your heads will be further twisted by visuals by MOX.

As you can probably imagine, with a line up like this, tickets are gone, but fear not as there will be some available on the door. Check out the RA event page to get all the info you'll need on the night.

Plex @ Corsica Studios (2nd Jul 11)

Plex are back at Corsica Studios with another stormer of a line up. The last party in February was immense with great sets from Ancient Methods, Surgeon and Sigha. We caught a bit of video from Sigha's set which doesn't even come close to doing the night justice, but is still good none the less.

This coming Saturday is looking equally as impressive. Headlining is Morphosis with his UK debut live performance. DJ sets come from DJ Pete (who you will now all about from his superb Wax Treatment Podcasts) as Substance, Delta Funktionen, Nick Craddock and the Plex DJs.

Room 2 is hosted by Brackout with Radioactive Man and a whole host of others.

Tickets are available on Resident Advisor. More info on Plex can be found on their Facebook Fan Page or you can follow them on Twitter

Mix Of The Day: Sandwell District - Plex @ Corsica Studios (5th Feb 10)

Ahead of their live set next Saturday, Sandwell District pulled out a little gem from their archives for the fabric blog. Almost a year ago Dave and Karl headlined @ Corsica Studios for Plex.

That was right at the beginning of a great year for Sandwell District. 3 other London appearances followed (one of which was of course the amazing set they turned in for us) as well as gigs all over the globe. A label night @ Berghain, A string of great releases from the label which finished with the 'Feed Forward' Album. It's safe to say the boys were on fire!

You can download the mix from here

Tickets for next Saturdays' party are available at Resident Advisor, or if you're a fabric first member then you can get in free and bring a guest in with you for half price. Can't say fairer than that! It's not just Harrod's having sale this month!
