Quantec is back on Toffler Music, this time bringing us a look into the 'Dimensions Beyond The Known' EP. Four tracks on the vinyl with an extra fifth track as a digital bonus. The release has Quantec's usual stamp of quality all over it. Exquisitely detailed production and music that always keeps you guessing.

Quantec - My Safe Harbour [Echocord 50]

Ecohocord have just released their 48th EP this week with Resoe's 'The Black Void Of Space' complete with a remix from Sigha (go buy it now, it's amazing) but today we're looking forward to their 50th release.

It comes from serial dub technoist, Sven Schienhammer aka Quantec. No stranger to the label, previous releases include his second album 'Cauldron Subsidence' and his 'Subliminal State', 'Unusual Signals', 'Moonstruck' EPs and also the sister label, Echocord Colour on which he released his 'Ray Of Hope' EP.

#50 is more of the same high quality dub techno as we've come to expect from Echocord, and Sven was kind enough to post the title track 'My Safe Harbour' on his soundcloud page. As with all his music this is another perfectly crafted piece. Full of groove it grows and evolves through detailed intimate production. Different sounds come at you from all angles but the arrangement makes sure that everything has a purpose, no excess or wastage.

Quantec - Force Vive EP [Phonobox Records 008]

Here's some new work from one of my favourite producers, Quantec. The man's been bang on form of late with a string of recent releases on labels like Styrax, Pong Musiq, Statik, Piece Communications, this one of Phonobox Records and one of the best labels for me of the last couple of years, Echocord.

With all this activity there's been no drop in quality. All the tracks ooze Quantec's trademark deep sounds with immensely detailed production all leave you in suspense without really knowing where the track is going to take you. You imagine how they're going to end from the start of them but come the final bars you listening to something completely unexpected, leaving you very pleasantly surprised. Check out the sample here
