After their summer break, Berlin based promotion, Grounded Theory are back at the Arena Club for GT17. As is always the case with these parties, the line up is wall to wall quality. Berghain resident, Ben Klock returns for his 3rd appearance and takes centre stage. Vault Series artist Mørbeck will be providing a live set. US Based, Developer, who's releases on his own Modularz label and Semantica have been some of our favourites of the past 12 month will be performing a DJ set, as will Token Records' Kr!z.
Doors open at midnight, there's no presale tickets, so get there early to avoid disappointment. Full event info can be found on the Facebook Event Page. To keep tabs on Grounded Theory you can like their Facebook Fan Page and the same goes for Ben Klock, Mørbeck and Kr!z. As far as we know Developer doesn't have one but you can check out his Modularz Page instead.

Video: The 29 Nov Films, Mørbeck - Morbius [Candela Rising]
We don't know a lot about The 29 Nov Films except that they're an independent organisation that makes incredible videos for EDM music. You just need to scan through the videos on their Youtube Channel to see their works on tracks by Monolake, Planetary Assault Systems, Henning Baer, Shed, Rrose, Pattern Repeat, Shifted, Samuli Kemppi and many many more SDD favourites, the list is literally endless.
For the video in question they set to work on a piece by Berlin DJ / Producer, Vault Series collaborator (with Subjected) and member of the Grounded Theory stable, Mørbeck. 'Morbius' comes from the 'Magneto' EP on the new London based, vinyl only label, and brainchild of past SDD guest Billy Allen, Candela Rising.
The video (probably The 29 Nov Films' most twisted video, that we've seen) acts as a perfect accompaniment to Mørbeck's intensely hypnotic composition. Drawing you in as disturbed visuals intertwine with rumbling basslines, drifting bells and sharp hi hats to leave you feeling entirely removed from your comfortable surroundings, and very much trapped inside that house, part of the little psychopathic girls' world of demented homicidal activities.
The EP will be available to buy in the next couple of weeks. You can get an e-mail from Juno, letting you know when it's ready to buy, now. Mørbeck has contributed 3 original pieces and Jeroen Search offers up an interpretation of 'Mystique'. Check out the samples below
Get yourselves over to the Candela Rising Facebook Page, and 'like it', to keep informed of all of the labels movements. And be sure to subscribe to The 29 Nov Films' Youtube Channel to see all of their new videos.

Weekend Clubbing Roundup: London, Berlin, Manchester, New York & Copenhagen
For those of you in London last weekend, you still might be trying to come to terms with what happened. Those of you, like us, who made it to the Blueprint Records party or the CLR party (or even the CLR afterparty) will know just how vibrant the techno scene here is becoming. Which is why we kick off our roundup in our capital city....
Finally, after a few months of planning, the weekend of our first monthly Sunday party @ Basing House is here. We'll be showing London that just because the weekend's almost over, we don't want any let up when it comes to the ferocity of our music. London's techno clubbers have had a serious lack of options when it comes to heading out on the supposed 'day of rest'.Headed up by Grounded Theory boss and K209 artist, Henning Baer. He'll be joined by London's own Truss (Perc Trax / Stroboscopic Artefacts), XI and EarToGround resident and Candelight bloggist, Billy Allen.
Tickets are still available on Resident Advisor, and you can find all the info you'll need there too.
With all the techno action going on around London last weekend, fabric decided to give Room 2 a week off from the relentless Saturday night techno that it's seen so far this year. So this weekend it's back to normal service with two UK acts at very different stages of their career, Surgeon and Shifted.

Next up we head over to Berlin, and more importantly, tonight at Suicide Circus as they present Echocord Records headman, Kenneth Christiansen and Vault Series artist, Morbeck.

Events in New York seem to be popping up on our radar more and more and our next pick is a very special one indeed. Hotflush Recordings boss, Scuba, takes his Sub:stance party on the road with help from Luke Slater, under his L.B. Dub Corp alias, Boddika and more.
The final stop on our whistle stop tour of the weekends clubbing is Culture Box in the Danish capital city Copenhagen. As ever, it's a hugely promising line up including Echocord artists, Deadbeat and Resoe, and Chilean DJ / Producer, Dandy Jack.

Grounded Theory 12 @ Arena Club (28th Oct 11)
The good times, and the great line ups, keep coming for Grounded Theor y. The previous 11 parties have been a veritable who's who of the very best acts in techno. GT11 was held at Horst Krzbrg but for GT12 they're back in more familiar surroundings at Arena Club. The headliner will require no introductions. Ostgut artist, Berghain resident and head of the Klockworks label, Ben Klock has had quite a year. His name and reputation, as both an artist and a DJ, have been ever expanding worldwide earning him performances at the worlds best clubs and festivals. He's almost becoming a regular fixture in London these days. He's graced our soundsystems a total of four times this year and has been nothing short of monumental every single time.
Joining him will be Ann Amiee and Delsin Records artist, Delta Funktionen. You'll recognise this name too, as well you should. Those who made it to Plex in July or fabric in August will fully understand why we've been keeping such a close eye on the Dutch producer / DJ.
Completing the line up will be a live set from Subjected & Morbeck, under their Vault Series guise and the man behind Grounded Theory, Henning Baer. Fresh from his debut release, on the label he runs with Milton Bradley, K209, we're sure he'll have something up his sleeve to get your toes tapping and your heads bobbing in the very best way imaginable.
The party kicks off at midnight and goes on till.... There's no tickets just so just rock up and pay the, more than, reasonably priced 10 euros on the door. All the other information can be found on the Resident Advisor Event Page.
You can keep tabs on all the latest Grounded Theory movements via their Facebook Fan Page and the same goes for Ben Klock and Delta Funktionen.
