Milton Bradley - A Sky Full Of Numbers [Do Not Resist The Beat! 06

Since playing for us back in November last year, Milton Bradley locked himself away and set to work on his first ever live project which debuted at Berghain last weekend, to outstaqnding effect. We've been waiting a good while for the next release from the label he set up with Zeal, Do Not Resist The Beat. And the time has finally arrived.

As is the way with the label, it's a 3 tracker packed full of exhilarating experimental techno. 'A Sky Full Of Numbers' drones and pulsates bass right through your mind, whilst shuffling patterns keep your head nodding. 'The Path To Mathematical Truth' is the raw techno number. Sirens swell to full intensity then fade into the background, readying themselves for another onslaught. 'Number Analysis' is 4/4 like 'The Path To Mathematical Truth', but is much more steady, relentless but deep all at the same time. It's one of those special tracks that sits late in the party when all you need is a raw techno grove to accompany you're heads down, no talking, dancing moments.

At the moment I've only found it at Hardwax, but I'm sure it'll be in all the best stores soon. Check out the samples below

I remember speaking to Samuli Kemppi in the hotel before the last party and we was chatting about Milton Bradley's music and he said to me "the great thing about his production, is that everything has it's place. Never to much or too little, it's perfect" and I whole heartedly agree with him. We expect very big things from Milton in 2011.

For those of you who are lucky enough to be in Berlin on the 18th February would be very wise to make your way down to Horst Krzbrg for Grounded Theory 07. Of course resident Milton Bradley will be there. He will be joined by the (as those who were there in March will fondly remember) excellent Traversable Wormhole performing live and some big favourites of ours, Terence Fixmer and Delta Funktionen. Mix Of The Day: Jonas Kopp - Resident Advisor Podcast 243 (24th Jan 11)

It's been a little while since we've featured a Resident Advisor Podcast as our mix of the day, but this one is a little bit extra special. 2010 was a tremendous year for Argentinean born Jonas Kopp. Releases on Stroboscopic Artefacts, Perc Trax and Ostgut Ton saw him widely regarded as one of techno's next big things.

As they normally do, Resident Advisor, was way ahead of most and booked him for their next podcast series. Along with the mix there's a great interview with Jonas where they talk Buenos Aries, the mix and his plans for 2011, amongst other things. Check out the interview here

You can download the mix from the following links

Tracklisting

I'm fairly sure that once you've had a listen to this, then you're not going to be satisfied until you've seen and heard him in the flesh. And you will be in luck, because Jonas is flying into London for his UK Debut with his fellow label mates from Stroboscopic Artefacts, Lucy, Xhin (another UK Debut) and local boy Truss for a Stroboscopic Artefacts Showcase in association with EarToGround @ Corsica Studios on the 2th April. The room 2 line up isn't bad either. Hans Bouffmyhre also making his London Debut, backed up by the Slash Dot Dash residents and a few more to boot.

Mix Of The Day: Sandwell District - Plex @ Corsica Studios (5th Feb 10)

Ahead of their live set next Saturday, Sandwell District pulled out a little gem from their archives for the fabric blog. Almost a year ago Dave and Karl headlined @ Corsica Studios for Plex.

That was right at the beginning of a great year for Sandwell District. 3 other London appearances followed (one of which was of course the amazing set they turned in for us) as well as gigs all over the globe. A label night @ Berghain, A string of great releases from the label which finished with the 'Feed Forward' Album. It's safe to say the boys were on fire!

You can download the mix from here

Tickets for next Saturdays' party are available at Resident Advisor, or if you're a fabric first member then you can get in free and bring a guest in with you for half price. Can't say fairer than that! It's not just Harrod's having sale this month!

For those of you who don't know Lucy. He's the man behind one of technos best labels, Stroboscopic Artefacts. We like him, and the label a lot. So we was rather pleased when Lucy uploaded a new mix to his soundcloud page.

Ed Davenport & Oliver Deutschmann - Trump (Brendon Moeller Appliance) [Falkplatz]

Falkplatz is a relatively new label. Based in Berlin and setup by Oliver Deutschmann with a mission for no nonsense house and techno. The first release came from Deutschmann himself, the 2nd from Ed Davenport and for the 3rd release the two of them have joined forces.

Thankfully Brendon was kind enough to upload his remix to soundcloud. Heavy bassline with dubbed out shuffles make this one release you're going to want to own.

Redshape (Live) & 19.454.18.5.25.5.18 to headline our March Event

Happy new year to you all

We hope you had a great xmas and a monster new years. We certainly did.

But that was all so last year so now and it's time to move on to more pressing matters, like for example, telling you all the line up for our first party of 2011.

There's not a lot to be said about our headliner. He's from Berlin, he wears a red mask and makes truly amazing techno music. If you hadn't guessed it by now (if you haven't, seriously how? It's in the title haha) of course it's Redshape and he'll be performing one of his legendary half planned, half improvised live sets.

Joining him is another faceless techno being. He has a name that's hard to remember and he releases records on the excellent Horizontal Ground label and, just like Traversable Wormhole, he'll be making his UK debut exclusively for us!

More info about the event will be on the way very soon. We also have some great podcasts from various acts coming at you in the not too distant future so keep your eyes peeled for those!

For now, all that is left is for us to wish you all the best for 2011 and we'll see you on a dancefloor soon
