Marcel Dettmann & O/V/R @ fabric (9th Mar 13)

fabric have been pulling out all the techno stops for the month of March. Last weekend saw Cosmin TRG and A Made Up Sound join Terry Francis in Room 2. This week his accomplices are none other than Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann teams up with Blueprint Records' production duo of Regis and James Ruskin, that go by the name of O/V/R.

With Levon Vincent and Delano Smith taking their place alongside Craig Richards in the main room, this is a night to get the technoheads salivating all the way to the former meat locker.

Tickets are available from the fabric website

Mix Of The Day: O/V/R - Resident Advisor Podcast 257

We was gutted to miss the O/V/R live set at March's Blueprint Records Party (turned up 15 mins after they had finished), but Resident Advisor have gone some way to making it up for us, with this live recording from an O/V/R set earlier on this year in Berlin.

O/V/R is a production / live project from two of the UK's most influential techno heads, James Ruskin and Karl O'Connor AKA Regis. It's a project that's really moving at the moment with performances at Berghain and Cable London this year and a massive 3 part remix pack of their 'Post Traumatic Son' release which features interpretations from Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, Robert Hood and DVS1. Resident Advisor thought now would be a good time for James and Karl to showcase their sound on RA's legendary podcast series.

You can download the mix either directly or through iTunes using the following links

There's a quick interview with the pair over on Resident Advisor where they discuss the ideas around the project. All other info on O/V/R can be found on the Blueprint Records Facebook Fan Page

We Fear Silence pres. Blueprint Records @ Cable (26th Mar 11)

If you're out and about in London on Saturday there's only 1 place for you to make plans for. The flyer pretty much tells you all you need to know. Some serious big techno heavyweights. For those of you who don't know too much about O/V/R, it's a live project from Ruskin and Sandwell Districts, Regis. Recently they performed live at Berghain and it went down an absolute stormer. Rumours have it that the whole Blueprint Klubnacht went on till 11pm Sunday!

The room 2 line up is also a strong one. Really excited to see how the ambient set from Sigha and Shifted goes down. I'm expecting it to be special.

Anyway there's still tickets available on Resident Advisor for a more than reasonable £10 (+bf) or you can pay on the door but it will cost you a few more quid.
